地獄絵とお賽銭

その昔、葬場や刑場となった船岡山の西南に位置する閻魔堂は正式名「引接寺」と言い拝殿には、閻魔様が奉られています。

拝殿の脇の壁には、ほとんど消えかけているのですが、｢地獄絵」が残されています。

境内には、紫式式部の供養等やほほえましいお顔の布袋様と大黒様もおられます。

そして、是非チャレンジしていただきたいのは、お賽銭投げ！！本堂の普通のお賽銭箱の頭上を見上げると、タカーイところにお茶碗が設置してあり、見事お賽銭が入れば、ご利益ナント一万倍！！だそうです。ちなみに、私は失敗しましたが、友達は大成功！でもケチって１円しか入れなかった事を後悔していました。

おもかる石と玉の輿のお守り

都の悪疫退散を祈り、疫病治めに疫神を祀ったお社です。
境内には「阿保賢（あほかし）さん」と呼ばれる、神占石があり、軽く感じれば叶う、重く感じれば叶わないと言う奇石があります。　ちなみに私は重く感じてしまいました。　私の前に持ってた人は軽々持っていたのになぁ・・・　
徳川5代将軍綱吉の生母、桂昌院（お玉）の氏神社で、八百屋の娘お玉が、将軍の側室になるシンデレラストーリーは
「玉の輿」の語源となる由来とされています。

The shrine maintains worship of gods for protection against epidemics.

A stone called Ahokashi-san in the shrine is believed to possess magical properties for the sick. Furthermore, if a person taps the stone three times, then lifts it, the stone will feel heavy. Afterwards, if the same person strokes the stone three times while making a wish and then lifts it for a second time and the stone feels light, it is said that their wish will be granted.

Fell in love with a beautiful girl named Otama, who was born in Kyoto’s Nishijin weaving district as the daughter of a greengrocer. Iemitsu took Otama as a concubine and she bore him a son, who later became the 5th Edo shogun, Tokugawa Tsunayoshi. She had achieving a high status.

「悟りの窓」と「迷いの窓」

1346年に創建された源光庵は紅葉の名所で「血天井」や「悟りの窓、迷いの窓」でよく知られています。
「血天井」は伏見城で、徳川方の鳥居元忠らが自刃したときのものの遺構と言われ、生々しい血の足跡が鮮明に残されています。
「迷いの窓」の四角は「人間の生涯」を4つの角で象徴し、生老病死の四苦八苦を表しています。
「悟りの窓」の丸は「禅と円通の心」を表わしています。丸い形は大宇宙を表現し悟りの境地を開く事が出来ると言われています。

GENKO-AN

SATORI-NO-MADO and MAYOI-NO-MADO
The temple is most famous for two neighbouring windows.

The Window of Realization, implying enlightenment and a square one, the Window of Delusion, implying ignorance and human suffering. These windows are best viewed in autumn, when the maple trees in the garden are brightly coloured.

Genko-an includes several floor boards from the Momoyama castle (which was located in Fushimi but was destroyed, only to be rebuilt in concrete). The floor boards (now ceiling boards) are stained by the foot mark of blood of samurai who fought and died in the battle for the castle. A version of the story also tells they committed seppuku (ritual suicide).

釘抜地蔵　　　上京区千本通り上立売上る　　市バス「千本鞍馬口」下車徒歩３分

大きな釘抜きと､絵馬に囲まれたお堂

正式名称「石像寺」と言い、空海が開いたとされています。釘抜地蔵の名の由来は、昔ある男が、人を恨んで人形に釘を打った報いで、手が痛くなったところ地蔵様に諭され男の体から､釘を２本抜いたと言う逸話からつけられているそうです。

怪我や病気で苦痛がある人の､｢苦を抜く」「苦抜き地蔵」から「釘抜き地蔵」になったともいわれています。お堂の周りには、釘抜きと八寸釘２本が貼り付けられためずらしい絵馬がびっしり奉納されています。

KUGINUKI-JIZO

Official name is "Syakuzo-ji".And it is Kukai is open.

Shakuzoji Temple of the Jodo sect of Japanese Buddhism is popularly known as the Kuginuki Jizo or Kuginuki-san.

The Jizo bodhisattva appeared in the dream of a merchant suffering from a diseased hand and removed the two nails of bitterness lodged there, prompting the Kuginuki Jizo.

Hand pain was gone. Wall of the hall is filled with Votive picture.

六角堂 　　　　　中京区烏丸六角東入ル　　地下鉄烏丸線｢四条」下車徒歩５分

一言願い地蔵と縁結びの柳

読んで字のごとく六角形の屋根をしているお堂です。
西国三十三所第十八番札所で、華道の池坊の発祥の地としても有名です。その境内の中に、首をかしげた、かわいいお地蔵様がおられます。願い事を叶えてあげようかどうか迷っておられるそうです。

その他、見事に地面に垂れ下がった｢縁結びの柳」や「へそ石」など､小さい境内ながら見所いっぱいです。近代的なビルが隣接しており、オフィス街の憩いの場所となっています。

ROKKAKU-DO
